Applications for the 2018 grants have closed
The Spinnaker Health Research Grants, formerly known as the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation Research Grants, provide seed funding for health and medical research projects conducted in collaboration with the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group and/or in the South Metropolitan Region for the benefit of its community. The grants aim to foster a research culture in which early career researchers are encouraged and nurtured to excel in research. Development of collaborative research, building capacity and research translation to clinical application underpin the ethos of the Spinnaker Health Research Foundation.
Since 1999 the Foundation has awarded over $2.5M towards 175 research projects in areas as diverse as cancer, Alzheimers, heart disease, wound management, anaphylaxis, Crohn’s Disease, and hepatitis.
The successful outcome of many of these projects has resulted in over $20M of additional research funding awarded to our researchers to continue the promising research which was kick-started by the Foundation’s
