We are currently in the process of reviewing our grant system to ensure that the grants we award can continue to facilitate and support medical research to its fullest extent. In the interest of both our researchers and our community, we have chosen 2019-2020 to assess our current processes, and to satisfy that they remain an example of best possible practice in our industry. For this reason, grant applications and information sessions will begin later than in previous years various dates to be advised as soon as possible.

Spinnaker offers researchers, scientists, clinicians and allied health professionals at the Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals and collaborating research institutes and universities as well as community based research groups in the south metropolitan area a variety of grant opportunities.
Barry Marshall Travel Award/s – an annual award or awards which will allow one or two researchers to present at a national or international research conference to gain exposure, exchange ideas and forge collaborations. – applications will open in the first half of 2018.

- University of Western Australia: Warren Jones/UWA Postgraduate Research Scholarship
Spinnaker Health Research Grants – each year researchers can apply for seed funding of up to $15,000 for medical and community health research projects with relativity to the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group and collaborating research partners within the the south metropolitan community. Calls for applications will open in the first half of 2018.
All Grants carry an obligation on the recipient to publish the research findings and outcomes. Such publications need to acknowledge the support received from the Spinnaker Health Research Foundation.
