Fremantle Hospital Health Research Fund

Fremantle Hospital Health Research Fund

Founded in 1996, this fund has provided research grants, PHD scholarships, visiting orators and fellows and research equipment grants, resulting in major breakthroughts such as the radiopharmaceutical treatment for bone marrow cancers and intestinal bleeding. With Fremantle Hospital now operating as a specialist hospital with a focus on aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation and certain elective surgery, research funded by this sub-fund will start to reflect these areas of health and medicine.
